History

Ginger beer and rice bread have been around for ages. They are highly consumed by people of English, African and Asian population.

Despite its name, ginger beer is a non-alcoholic beverage. It is tangy, light and refreshing, perfect for anyday. Ginger has wonderful health benefits like vitamin K, B6 and magnesium, so, not only does it taste good, but it is good for you too! The rice bread is made with rice and has no flour; flavoured with ripe banana, it is moist and delicious.

Ginger beer and rice bread are delicacies in the African culture. They are enjoyed during special occasions like weddings, birthday and graduation parties, including family gatherings around the holidays.

About us

More than two years ago, we had a vision to meet the needs and connect people from different cultures around the globe. Then in September of 2017, Matilda Gbeh (a community Health Educator) began to reinvent her West African style of rice bread in the town of Goshen, Connecticut.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make natural, healthy food from scratch that is nourishing and accessible to people of diverse cultures. We are committed to exceeding expectations and building trust among our customers. While coordinating a diabetes prevention program and teaching nutrition for few years, she was inspired to create a product that everyone can enjoy without worrying about the effects of harmful ingredients. Her recipes are unique, relying on healthy, natural, sugar-free and gluten-free ingredients.
